Findlater & Co’s on-trade exclusive brand, Coastal Reserve Wines partnered with Connacht Hospitality for a successful beach clean-up at Renville Beach in Oranmore on World Ocean Day.
Sharing Findlater’s commitment to sustainability, The Connacht Hotel is working towards becoming the first hotel in Galway to be carbon neutral.
Coastal Reserve, which launched last April, was designed to offer consumers a more sustainable and vegan choice on wine menus.
It has donated more than €50,000 to Plastic Oceans Europe since its launch. This has enabled the charity to conduct 49 clean-up events, removing 1.9 tonnes of plastic from beaches across the continent.
Furthering their commitment to sustainability, Coastal Reserve is sourcing and shipping European wines in bulk to minimize shipping miles and emissions. They also utilise lightweight bottles and labels made from recycled paper.
