New €10 million brewery for Dublin City
The new brewery, the Dublin Beer Factory, sits on a 1,000 square metre unit in the Parnell Centre on Parnell Street near the Rotunda, Jervis Centre and O’Connell Street in Dublin city centre.
The brewery intends to deliver beer with no additives, brewing to full capacity within three years.
Currently its flagship Lager, 2015-launched Dublin Blue Lager, is being brewed in Dundalk, Co Louth, whilst awaiting completion of the brewery.
Mark Schneider and Geoff Waddell are behind the €10 million venture.
Geoff is a Dublin business owner with over 25 years’ experience within the hospitably industry, the current owner/partner of the Woolshed Sports Baa & Grill located close to the brewery.
Mark Schneider has vast experience in the brewing industry across Europe. Not only has he worked with high profile companies such as Heineken in the Netherlands but has independently developed successful beers that have been enjoyed globally, according to Dublin Blue Lager’s Peter Brennan.
The brewery will also host a visitor centre with a gantry tour overlooking the complex.
The visitor centre will host a taproom to include the Dublin Beer Factory brews featuring up to 10 different kinds of ales and stouts.
