Busy month for Febvreuary
Under the wine distributor’s new promotion, various events will take place around the country which will be open to trade only.
The events include wine tastings from Febvre’s portfolio which will allow attendees meet visiting winemakers, attend educational seminars and learn the latest in global consumer wine trends for 2016.
To the forefront of the Irish wine trade for over 50 years, Febvre is partnered with some of the most illustrious names in the wine world. The character of those partners is reflected in the quality of visitors coming to Ireland to partner Febvre in the Febvreuary promotion.
From France Louis Fabrice Latour will host a tasting about the Twelve Wines that tell the story of innovation at Maison Louis Latour over the last century.
Marcelo Rematal, Chief Winemaker of De Martino – named by Decanter magazine as the 13th most influential winemaker in the world, will talk about ‘A very different Chile’.
Winemakers Chester Osborne from D’Arenberg, will join Herve Robert of Delas Wines in Dublin through Skype in a comparison of the ‘Rhône Style’ wines from Australia and the Rhône wines from Delas.
Jan Konetzki, Head Sommelier at Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, London, will share his thoughts on creating a new wine list following his success at the ‘2015 Imbibe Wine List of the Year- Sommelier Award’.

Warre’s Port Quinta da Cavadinha, a vertical tasting, will include six vintages from 1992 to 2012
the Basque Culinary Centre will host an ‘Irish meets Basque’ Pintxos with Conde de Valdemar Rioja Wines
Lulie Halstead, Wine Intelligence UK, will host a workshop on Global Consumer Wine Trends for 2016
Fiona Beckett of www.matchingfoodandwine.com will demonstrate how seasoning affects your wine choice.
