Cult Drinks signs distribution deal with GM Marketing
Cult Drinks, which houses FATFROG, Piranha and Mr L’s Cocktails, amongst others, has signed a distribution deal with Irish company, GM Marketing which will get the household named drinks into even more trade and consumer outlets across the country.
Ella Freeman, commercial marketing manager, GM Marketing, said: “Cult Drinks and its brands are very welcome additions to our alcohol distribution portfolio. The drinks are already a force to be reckoned with in Ireland and our plan is to build on that success by expanding into even more trade outlets and reaching more consumers in the coming months and years.”
The GM Marketing team, which boasts eleven Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualifications, the world’s leading provider of drinks qualifications, are planning to further elevate the reputation of Cult Drinks brands.
Freeman continued: “FATFROG sales are up by 30% on the same period last year so we know there is a genuine thirst for this much-loved drink. Piranha, which is available in five distinctive and popular flavours; Sour Apple, Cherry, Kola and Peach, has seen an 11% sales increase when compared to 2023.
“These are really positive trends that show no signs of slowing. We’ll also be listing the Sour Apple and Kola Piranha Shots which has the same liquid as the parent brand in 25ml plastic tubes making them the perfect impulse buy.”
Sarah Jane Brangam, co-founder, Cult Drinks, said: “They bring with them a huge amount of experience, massive distribution network and a dedicated team of professionals who will be working hard to list our brands with many more outlets across Ireland. It’s a golden opportunity for us and for GM Marketing and we’re excited for the future of the whole Cult Drinks portfolio.”
FATFROG will be familiar to many 40 somethings but the new 250ml can format has helped the brand reach a whole new generation.
“Our innovation team decided to introduce the FATFROG 250ml can format in March 2020 and it has been a huge success for us. There’s a real nostalgia for FATFROG amongst mums and dads who are already familiar with it but it’s the wave of new adopters that are driving sales,” said Brangham.
Ella Freeman, who holds a Level 4 Diploma from WSET, concluded: “We are committed to ensuring that Cult Drinks and its incredible brands continue to bring their unique flavours to people across Ireland, for many years to come.”
