Just a Bloomin’ taste

Over 100 local food and drink producers onsite, many of Ireland’s top chefs and a whole host of stages and features are planned for those looking to learn will feature at this year’s Bloom.

The social media phenomenon that is #FoodPorn, the rise in the popularity of premium Irish gin and the so-called “clean eating” craze which has swept our shores, are among some of the hot topics that will be discussed and debated in the Food Village which will once again be a key feature at Bloom 2017.

The Food Village will host some of our best-known chefs, commentators and health experts including Neven Maguire, Catherine Fulvio, Edward Hayden, Rory O’Connell, Paul Flynn, Roz Purcell, Donal O’Shea, Aoife Hearne and Paula Mee, who will participate in over 80 live talks, debates, workshops and cookery demonstrations.

This year Bloom will include 33 new food and drink exhibitors and a range of new product launches including the introduction of six new Irish gin products. Bord Bia also uses Bloom as a business-to-business promotional opportunity and the Food Village will once again be a hub for trade, hosting more than 200 Irish and international trade buyers with a combined purchasing power of over €10 billion.

 

Food Markets & Stalls

At the heart of the Food Village is a bustling hub of Irish food and drink retail, consumer sampling and opportunities to meet some of Ireland’s best producers. Features include The Bloom Inn which will feature 15 exhibitors, 10 of whom will bring new and exciting products to launch at the event. The Irish craft beer and spirit showcase will feature innovative new products such as Black Twist, a spirit infused coffee liqueur; six new exciting gin offerings from Gunpowder Gin, Mor Irish Gin, Listoke Gin and a trio of Gins from James Joyce Gins; Bloom-newcomer breweries including Costellos Brewing Company, Manor Brewing, Hope Brewery and Wicklow Brewery; interesting Irish Whiskey expressions from James Joyce House, West Cork Distillers and Teelings which will feature alongside seasoned Bloom Inn exhibitors The Porterhouse, Wicklow Way Wines, Boyne Brewhouse and Glendalough Distillery.

Bord Bia’s Bloom, Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family festival, will take place in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, from Thursday 1st June – Monday 5th.  Tickets are on sale now on bloominthepark.com and can also be purchased on the gate. Ticket prices range from €16 – €22.50 and children under 16 go free.
