Powerscourt Distillery wins double Golds

County Wicklow-based Powerscourt Distillery has added two new awards to its steadily growing collection. 

At the recent Irish Whiskey Awards 2022, Fercullen Whiskey received two Gold Awards for its latest release, a 21 Year-Old Single Malt, along with its Limited Edition ‘Italian Gardens’.

Now in its ninth year, the Irish Whiskey Awards have become one of the biggest celebrations of Irish whiskey in the world.

Powercourt Distillery’s Irish Single Malt Whiskey won a Gold in the 16 years & older category. This is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels with a selection of Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximénez finished whiskeys.

The Enniskerry distillery’s ‘The Italian Gardens’ from its Estate Series won Gold in the Irish Blended Whiskey category,  a limited Edition Blended Fercullen Irish Whiskey Amarone cask influence.
